STARTING THE CONFERENCE
Moderator should log in early (5-15 minutes). When conference is to begin, press *3 to begin, or press the “play” button from your conferencing website. If recording is necessary, you can press the record button on your conferencing website, or make sure “record conference” is selected before conference begins. Establish ground rules with participants: Do not put the conference on “hold”; instead use the mute feature *6 Identify yourself before you speak If having Q & A time, give instructions at that time (participants press *1, moderator sees “hand raised” on conferencing website, clicks on first hand, then proceeds with question from caller) To eliminate background noise, place the call in lecture mode (recommended for conferences with over 10 participants).PARTICIPANT
Call from a landline phone. Avoid calling from a cellular phone. Avoid using a speaker phone. Do not put the conference call on “hold”. Instead, mute your phone line. Identify yourself before speaking. Speak clearly and into the phone.
